Julie Blehm
Julie Ann Blehm was born in Hatton, ND. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead and received her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences (UNDSMHS). She completed her residency in internal medicine at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. She married David Blehm in 1979 and she has a son, Ben, and a daughter, Amy. David died in 2011. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and is a Master in the American College of Physicians. She practiced at Medical Arts Clinic in Minot, ND for 14 years and then at Merit Care (now Sanford) as Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Continuity Clinic. She was associate Dean of the SE campus of UNDSMHS. Her community activities have included serving as President of the board of the Cass Clay YMCA, past member of ND Museum of Art Board, F-M Symphony board and F-M opera board. Currently she is a member of the Concordia College Board of Regents, ND American Foundation for the Prevention of Suicide board and the ND Museum of Art Foundation. She served on the ND Special Olympics Board of Directors and was a member of the medical team for Team USA in Special Olympics World Games in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
